Have you noticed? There seems to be something wrong with Hayden Lake. How the lake appears tends to vary, depending on when you look at it, but most everybody agrees it’s changing so fast that the differences are visible from year to year. More weeds. A weird color. A bad smell.

Is it just a natural cycle all lakes go through? Or is it a serious problem that needs serious attention, and the sooner the better?

Is it affecting the trout fishery?

Is there anything you need to know, anything anybody can do? Or should we just wait and see if it’ll resolve itself?

Find out, from the experts, in the film documentary called “The Hayden Lake Project.”

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

“There’s a lot of emotion in environmental issues like this,” Hayes says. “Emotions, and politics. I didn’t want to hear that stuff. I wanted facts.”  So, Hayes aimed her camera, and her microphone, at people you don’t usually hear from. Scientists.

For solid information, think about attending this Noon Meeting at the Iron Horse Restaurant.

The filmmaker, Karen Hayes will be present!

You’ll learn fascinating things about Hayden Lake, why it’s especially vulnerable to the kinds of problems it has today, and some specific, practical things that can be done by everybody who lives in the watershed, vacations there, or plays in the water.
