How much do we know about the food we buy at our local supermarkets and serve to our families?
Food, Inc. exposes America's industrialized food system and its effect on our environment, health, economy and workers' rights.

Though our food appears the same-a tomato still looks like a tomato-it has been radically and unnaturally transformed.
In Food, Inc., filmmaker Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nation’s food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government’s regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. Our nation’s food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment.
After the film, join us for a casual discussion with speaker Korrine Kreilkamp, founder of the Community Roots program, a charitable food share program in Coeur d'Alene. Korrine will introduce us to the new Roots CSA, a charitable community supported agriculture (CSA) farm in Dalton Gardens. Learn about CSAs, and this particular charitable CSA continuing the Roots commitment to strengthen the local food system and connecting people of diverse incomes to the land.
