Kootenai Environmental Alliance
The Kootenai Environmental Alliance (KEA) located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, was founded in 1972. It is the oldest non-profit conservation organization in Idaho. It was organized in response to extensive environmental degradation to North Idaho's forest and water resources. KEA's mission has remained the same since the organization's inception: to conserve, protect and restore the quality of the environment with particular emphasis on the Coeur d'Alene Basin and the Idaho Panhandle. KEA is deeply rooted in the local community and is respected for its views on environmental issues. Our grassroots collaborative approach has brought positive change in support of the environment and quality of life.
