We Can Harvest Your Unwanted Fruits and Veggies

to Help Feed the Hungry.

During growing season, Roots Volunteers pick-up surplus produce from back yard gardens, farmer's markets, and local grocery stores for delivery at soup kitchens, food banks, and transitional homes.

Last season Community Roots Volunteers delivered over 3300 lbs. of local produce to food assistance facilities.

Community Roots Purpose:

  • To increase local produce donations at food assistance facilities.
  • To develop a local food system that plays a role in reducing green house gases.
  • To promote healthy eating habits.
  • To establish a stronger more sustainable community.
