Our natural resources are the heart of this region. Our majestic lakes, vast forests, and abundant fish and wildlife allow residents and visitors to experience the natural heritage of the region.

The Rathdrum-Spokane Aquifer, the sole source of water for 500,000 people living in Kootenai and Spokane Counties, is the most important resource in the region, providing one of the highest quality drinking water sources in the nation.  Kootenai Environmental Alliance has been in the forefront of protecting this valuable resource.

We will continue to respond t the critical need of protecting, conserving, and restoring our natural resources that provide us with our high quality of life.
