"Support a strong Comp Plan"

     There's a certain irony in the Coeur d'Alene Press criticizing Kootenai Environmental Alliance for its advocacy on the county's draft Comprehensive Plan, now before the county commissioners for final review. (CdA Press, 6/28/2009). The Press, in throwing its editorial weight behind the revisions suggested by the so-called "Citizens for Balance," is backing a plan submitted, literally, in the last minutes of a multi-year public process, a plan which was not subject to public review,and a plan which is supported, essentially, by a small collection of self-interested developers, realtors, and business organizations.
