KEA Comments on draft Emergency Ordinance – Extension of Expiration Dates For Land Use Approvals and Financial Guarantees

Kootenai Environmental Alliance respectfully submits comments on draft legislation for an emergency ordinance extending the expiration dates for land use approvals and financial guarantees and we urge its rejection.

We have serious concerns about the legality of the ordinance and its policy implications, and we question whether this action, even if we supported it, would rise to the level of an “emergency” contemplated under Idaho Code.
