KEA Comments to IDL on 12 Mooring Buoys and 15 Regulatory Buoys in Cougar Bay
KEA submits comments expressing serious concerns with the Kootenai County Parks & Waterways' Application to permit the placement of 12 mooring buoys and 15 regulatory buoys across the mount of sensitive Cougar Bay on Coeur d'Alene Lake. On balance, we are concerned that impacts of this encroachment to public waters outweighs the public benefits, which appear to be limited to additional moorage for motorized water craft where plenty already exists.
