Intelligent water use is the first step to ensuring an adequate water supply in the future.  Intelligent use of water often requires making only small changes in our daily habits in order to save thousands of gallons of fresh water.

Kootenai Environmental Alliance is working in partnership with the cities of Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls on voluntary water conservation programs to reduce the amount of water used by homeowners and businesses, especially in the peak-use summer season. Residents in both communities are becoming more informed on water use and are responding by implementing water conservation techniques.
